The fire pit is made of steel, which is susceptible to rust when exposed to outdoor conditions and fire. While the fire pits are painted with high-temperature, heat-resistant paint, there are no commercially available paints suitable for withstanding these extreme temperatures. With use and time, the fire pits will show signs of rust, but this will not impact their performance.

The bottom of the fire grate in this fire pit is stitch-welded in place to allow the grate to flex, which is necessary due to the high temperatures generated in the burn chamber. This flexing can cause the fire grate to appear wavy, but this is normal and will not affect the performance of the fire pit.

The fire pit is designed for outdoor use only and should be placed on hard, level surfaces. It is recommended to place the fire pit on flat concrete pavers to avoid damage to any surface. When not in use, the fire pit should be covered, and when storing it away for the season, it should be kept in a dry location.
